(More customer reviews)My husband and I just installed this chandelier and I am very happy with it. It was not difficult to install, however it did take us a little over an hour. The instructions estimated it would take just 15-30 minutes. It appears in every way to be a sturdy, well constructed light.
The description refers to the light as "Dark Wood", but I would describe it as antique black and it looks more like metal than wood. I believe this is a positive, as it add more character and charm. The shades are very basic in design. They fit over a metal frame like a slipcover, which I believe will make them easier to clean. I currently have the shades on, but thought the chandelier looked nice without them as well.
What I really like about this chandelier is the view of the decorative base as you look up from the table. Very elegant, but overall not a frilly light. Perfect for an informal dinning area. We are using this light for an indoor dinning room, but it can set up outdoors as well. Instructions are included for set up either way.
