I have a single car garage with 7 foot door, and the cables in my setup did not fit on the rivets of these brackets. I didn't know the rivets varied, and no specs are given here on their size anyway. So, if you get them compare with what you have BEFORE you open them.
If things fit, these would be perfectly fine products. Made from good quality strong steel, I think they'd work great, and last a lifetime.
The rivets on these brackets are 1/4" in diameter. If you have the antiquated setup I did with small "connectors" on the ends of your cables, they might not fit on here. You may wind up having to get new cables (with looped ends) and changing those as well. Just important to know this before you tear everything apart and can't finish.
