(More customer reviews)I'm an apartment property manager and bought a batch of these for multiple garage doors. What I liked about them is the flat (as opposed to rounded) key that is easy to make copies of and the metal face place (as opposed to a plastic one) for security. Here's the bad part. The terminal design is _horrible_! The terminals are held on by a thin piece of plastic. Just holding the terminal while attaching the wire will cause them to break. This wasn't rough usage on my part. On the first time I installed one, I used reasonable care, and both terminals broke. On all subsequent installations, I was aware of the weak terminals and used extreme caution, but the terminals still broke. What I ended up doing was wrapping electrical tape around the cylinder to hold the broken terminals in place and placing a piece of electrical tape in between the broken terminals to prevent them from touching each other. After doing that, they worked, but a user really shouldn't have to rig a product for it to work. If I ever had to do this again, I'd keep the metal face plates from this model and replace the actual lock with one that has better terminals.
