(More customer reviews)This remote has one button that works with "smart learn button" openers, and a second button which is driven off the dip switches (accessible under the battery cover) for older openers. I used the "smart learn button"-compatible button, as my opener (LiftMaster) has a red/orange learn button with amber LED. This remote is powered by a miniature 12-volt battery, and is very powerful. The 12-volt battery was important to me because I hardwired it into my car (didn't use the included 12v battery).
