(More customer reviews)I deleted my 1-star review of this product after I got the interference issues worked out. When I first installed it, I could only get it to work if I held the transmitter right next to the receiver. I e-mailed chamberlain's tech support and after a few days got a stock message about interference. Basically it sounded like if your house had electricity, all bets were off and you were going to have trouble with electrical interference. I was skeptical because the only electrical appliance near the receiver was the garage door opener mechanism itself, but I moved it to another outlet just to check, and sure enough the range improved, and while not great, it is usable now. Strangely, its better from outside the garage than inside. From the inside of the garage I have to hold it out the window to get it to work, but at least I don't have to get out of the car.
It was very easy to install and program. If it weren't so interference prone I would have given it a 5-star review, but the interference problem could be a concern depending on your garage layout. If you have an electrical outlet that is away from everything else it should work.
