(More customer reviews)If you have an old 8-position garage door opener, this is what you need. None of the manufacturers make remotes for the old boxes anymore, and odds are that the mechanics on your opener are fine. So why waste the time and money replacing the whole thing?
This 10 position changer works with its own and some of the other universal remotes. Just transfer the three lines from your old reciever unit to this one and you're done! I've set my car's "learning" remote to the same frequency with no problem at all. The remote that came with it also works fine after you set the dip switches to match.
NOTE that all of these receivers come with the same code preset so be SURE to change it before you put it up!
