When a neighbor paid for a service call that included changing the rollers (old metal exchanged for new metal rollers) on his garage door, I decided to look for new rollers for my door. I decided to not use metal rollers as they require lubrication (grease). Neither Home Depot or Lowes had the size rollers to fit my garage door and the cost at HD/Lowes for similar rollers was much higher. Replacing the rollers is easy if you replace them one at a time while the door is down. The bottom roller on my door uses the same bracket that holds the spring tensioned cable, so I had to replace that roller in the up position and use vise grips to hold the tension cable. Still an easy job.

This standard roller has a nylon wheel for quieter operation and long life. It can be used to replace both nylon or steel rollers. When replacing worn out rollers it is best to replace all rollers on the door.
