(More customer reviews)I thought I was buying a metal lock mechanism - based on all the pictures shown on Amazon and even Chamberlains's website.
When I rec'd the package, I was severely disappointed in finding that the rectangular plate surrounding the lock was cheap plastic! Had I known it was plastic, I wouldn't have bothered ordering and searched for a similar mechanism with an actual metal plate.
