(More customer reviews)This stuff is great. I shoot AR15s and HKs. These guns have a lot of blowback of burnt powder into the action. Use of a conventional oil usually results in becoming a dirt magnet. So all that stuff just builds up on the bolt assemblies. This silicone stuff is a dry lubricant and leaves no oily residue to attract/support the crud buildup. So the action continues to operate easily and no large-scale cleanup is necessary.
It also works great for magazine maintenance. Dry lubricant allows the rounds to move more smoothly inside, during feeding of the weapon, and avoids buildup of the same residue on the mag follower. This is a great benefit on the USGI AR15 mags and the HK MP5 mags as well.
