(More customer reviews)I was replacing an old garage keylock that stopped working. It took probably a good 30 min to pry out the old one. Overall, my installation was probably easier than most, as I didn't have to drill any holes to mount the new keylock. Once the old one was out, I needed to splice the old bellwire to some newer wire in order to feed it through the existing mounting hole. (The kit for the new keylock included bellwire to connect the keylock to the garage opener, but I chose to use the existing wire.) But other than that, installation was straightforward. The Chamberlain model popped into the existing hole. I used the included nails to hammer it into the joist. The new keylock had a smaller faceplate than my old one (and seems a little different than what is shown in the picture), so I'll have to prime and paint the exposed wood. Otherwise, it was an easy 1 hr project.
