(More customer reviews)My garage door would not close unless I held down the hard-wired switch, overriding the safety sensors. I did some looking and found that the LED's on my sensors were supposed to light up (one should stay illuminated, and the other should illuminate when the sensors are lined up). The LED's on my old sensors were so dim, I could only see them light up if the garage was completely dark. I took a guess that I needed new sensors. Well, long story short, I ordered these and had them in a few days. Install was a breeze, it only took about 10 minutes, and all I used was a $1 pair of wire cutters. Just remove your old sensors from their mount and cut the wires, splice the new sensor's wires with your existing garage door opener's wires using the included crimp connectors, and mount the sensors on the included brackets (or on your existing brackets). Everything worked like a charm, and I got to impress my wife with my handyman skills!
