These are 19.99 @ Home Depot.(regular price, same model number) Oh well, I've got some really great deals here on Amazon so a few bucks won't hurt me. Cost 5.20 to return it...so I guess I'll just keep this one. These are really nice to put on a wall you want to hang your flat screen on, allowing a flush mount.

There's a warning both as a box insert and etched on the back of the surge protector that says: (the exact words)
CAUTION - Do not install this device if there is not at least 10 meters (30 feet) or more of wire between the electrical outlet and the electrical service panel.
What a surprise! The electrical service panel where the master electrical switch to the house is, is right there on the garage wall in my house. The distance between the electrical outlet serving the opener and the electrical service panel is not more than 10 feet, let alone 30 feet.
Poor description on all websites I looked over that sell this product. This warning should have been clearly included in product description.

(More customer reviews)This was a no-brainer replacement. My garage door openner got zapped in a lightening storm. The lights were flashing in a certain pattern that corresponded to "replace logic board" in the on-line user manual. So, I found this on line, ordered it, and reinstalled it in about 10 minutes, and everything worked the first time. The hardest part is reprogramming the remote and the two cars' built in buttons - each of which have rolling codes.
