Liftmaster 475LM Evercharge Battery Back-Up System Review

Liftmaster 475LM Evercharge Battery Back-Up System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We're unhappy when our power fails, and we have to struggle with the garage door to get it open. What a clever product this is! A terrific alternative to trying to get the emergency garage mechanical release to work and lifting the garage door. It is a heavy unit, so you need to be careful when mounting the unit.

This unit can not be programmed by proximity to an existing transmitter and learning the code. It requires you to retrain the receiver to a selected frequency which then renders an original transmitter inoperative. Not what I needed.

Genie GIFTD-1BL 1-Button Remote Control with Flashlight and Intellicode Review

Genie GIFTD-1BL 1-Button Remote Control with Flashlight and Intellicode
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Purchased since it should support intellicode and code dodger systems such as my 1999 Overhead Door opener. This remote will register but will not open/close the door. I have the ACSCTG Type 1 and GICT390 Genie remotes that work without issue. I even erased the opener's memory and checked the GIFTD-1 frequency but it still does not work. I can only assume I received a defective product since Genie's site claims it's compatible but since it registers, I'm not sure. The opener's lights flash as they should during registration and flash only once when trying to use but nothing happens. I've already received an authorization from Amazon to return the device.
One other note, the GIFTD-1 shows to be a keychain remote but it's rather large for a keychain item and only slighly smaller than the GICT390 model. I bought this remote for my ragtop since I didn't want to leave a remote in a vehicle with easy inside access. Off to the brick and mortar stores to find one that is actually keychain size.

Purchased this to replace a controller that came with the garage door. It seems as if the range isn't as great as the original opener. And, on many occasions, I've had to press the button several times to get the door to respond. I even changed batteries, etc.

Chamberlain Sentex Clikcard 1 Compatible Stingray 295sepc1v Review

My wife and I recently moved into a gated community that requires a resident purchase a "Clikcard compatible" transmitter to open the gate. The bottom line is that I searched on the internet for one, found some, and found some for a great price. These were cheap to get and have good enough range(seems to be about 30 yards when in my vehicle) for me. Excellent product, lowest price I could find, and, the bottom line, they work great.

Genie Girud-1T Universal Receiver Plus Remote Review

Genie Girud-1T Universal Receiver Plus Remote
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After at least 15 attempts on my own and 3 calls to homelink I still could not get this GIRUD unit to program with the homelink buttons in two vehicles. Homelinks response was to get another battery in the new remote and if that does not work try another new remote. The point of having the homelink buttons in the vehicles is so I don't have to purchase multiple remotes. The GIRUD unit did program very easily to the original remote that was supplied. Genie was of no help. One positive note, the supplied remote does work and will open my garage door from approx. 30 to 40 feet away. My door used to open from 100 feet away.

Liftmaster 371LM 315MHz Garage Door Remote(See Tech. Details Below) Review

Liftmaster 371LM 315MHz Garage Door Remote(See Tech. Details Below)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Bought this for the car parked outside. Programming was piece of cake, just read the directions in the pamphlet or on the garage opening motor [which I did].
3 steps
1. Press and HOLD the open button on the remote
2. Press and RELEASE the purple button [I forgot what they called it]
3. Release the remote button ONCE the garage openers' LIGHT comes on.
Make sure you reprogram the old remotes at the same time so they all work on the same code, frequency, or what-not.
Excellent seller as well, brought it from "ASPDOORS & A WHOLE LOT MORE"
Hope this helped.
pce!

Chamberlain 956CB Mini Multi-Function 3-Button Remote Control Review

Chamberlain 956CB Mini Multi-Function 3-Button Remote Control
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Here's a very important piece of information that's missing in Amazon's description:
The Liftmaster 970LM is compatible only with garage door openers with an orange learn button and SECURITY+ logo. If you have purple learn button, then buy the Liftmaster 370LM instead, which operates at 315Mhz instead of 390Mhz.
Mine works great. Comes with instruction, battery and velcro. Programming is easy, just press the orange learn button, release it quickly, then press the center button on the remote, release it quickly, see confirmation light flashes or hear click click sound near the learn button. That's it. (Don't hold the learn button for more than 6 seconds, as it will clear all codes and make your other remotes useless.)
I have a detached garage. It used to be a hassle to carry the remote with me everywhere I go. Now I can just add this to my keychain and never have to think about it anymore. I didn't want to put the original remote (visor clip on type) inside my pocket, because it's large and a little pressure can push the button down accidentally which might close/open the garage door at unexpected time, causing injuries for my little baby running around. Now I have one hand free for holding my baby's hand or carring groceries.

Liftmaster 41A4373A Garage Door Opener Safety Beams Review

Liftmaster 41A4373A Garage Door Opener Safety Beams
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My garage door sensors, after several years, have failed to work properly. I asked for a repair quote and was told it would cost more than $80 to repair and that was if they ran into no complications. I decided the proposed charges were excessive and chose to change out the sensors myself.
To install, cut the wires from the old sensors and remove from their mount. Save the mounting bolts as none are included with the safety beam sensor kit. Splice the wires and connect to the new sensors using the supplied crimp connectors. Align the sensors using the alignment indicator lights. Then throw away the old sensors.
For me purchasing this lit and spending about 15 minutes in the garage is well worth the savings. If you are a do-it-yourselfer, perhaps this kit is for you too.PRO:
Simple to install
They work like the originals
CON:
Mounting bolts not included

Genie GIT-1BL One-Button Remote Control with Intellicode Review

Genie GIT-1BL One-Button Remote Control with Intellicode
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I love my two-year old Overhead Door Legacy garage door opener, but a couple of weeks ago, I lost one of the remote transmitters (clicker) somehow and I got a nasty surprise. Seems that the Overhead Door people wanted to sell me the replacement for $39, plus state tax! I was determined to get this simple one-button remote for less than that.
My research turned up all kinds of confusing information, but I finally understood that Genie "Intellicode" and Overhead Door "Codedodger" technology is pretty much the same. After reading the specs on twelve different Genie remotes I decided to take a chance on this one, ordering it from Sanford & Son. Sanford & Son is amazing! I placed my order late on a Monday afternoon and the remote was in my hand with the delivery of the mail Thursday of the same week. And, there was no shipping charge!
Programming the remote took less than 60 seconds. It is a simple process of activating a "learn" function between the base unit and the remote (instructions are included). In appearance and function, the Genie and the Overhead Door remotes are identical, except for the wording on them.
Bottom line -- Instead of paying about $42 to buy a replacement Overhead Door remote locally, I bought this Genie remote from Sanford & Son for less than half that (special battery is included in the price) and it works perfectly.
