Liftmaster 371LM 315MHz Garage Door Remote(See Tech. Details Below) Review

Liftmaster 371LM 315MHz Garage Door Remote(See Tech. Details Below)
Average Reviews:

Bought this for the car parked outside. Programming was piece of cake, just read the directions in the pamphlet or on the garage opening motor [which I did].
3 steps
1. Press and HOLD the open button on the remote
2. Press and RELEASE the purple button [I forgot what they called it]
3. Release the remote button ONCE the garage openers' LIGHT comes on.
Make sure you reprogram the old remotes at the same time so they all work on the same code, frequency, or what-not.
Excellent seller as well, brought it from "ASPDOORS & A WHOLE LOT MORE"
Hope this helped.
pce!

Although there is a picture of the KEY CHAIN SIZED remote a few clicks away, I have no idea why they have a picture of a full size remote, when they are only offering the KEY CHAIN SIZED model.

Mighty Mule FM137 Digital Keypad Review

Mighty Mule FM137 Digital Keypad
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It is nice that you have the option of using this in a wired or wireless configuration. In my case, wireless was the only way to go.
Like other 'programmable' wireless remotes, I expected a little pain in programming this one. The instructions have you press a certain key sequence and hold a working remote close to the unit until it beeps. The manual says it takes a little while. I must be impatient because I held it there for a good long time and it never beeped. But I tried it again and held the transmit button down for a very long time and sure enough, it finally beeped.
Programming access codes is very easy, much easier than other keypad devices I've used.
There is no delay in transmission, either. When I enter my code (I like the lighted button and beep feedback), my gate starts to open immediately.
Mounting is trivial.

Mighty Mule FM200 Gate Opener For Single Gates Up to 12-Feet Long and 300-Pounds Review

Mighty Mule FM200 Gate Opener For Single Gates Up to 12-Feet Long and 300-Pounds
Average Reviews:

This is our second opener from GTO. The first (model FM350) we purchased 8 years ago. It did not work out of the box and after a week of constantly calling GTO, without reaching anything but an answering machine on their non-toll free tech line, I finally managed to speak with somebody and get a replacement unit sent out. This unit worked well with little trouble until last year. I looked for a replacement and found this model at a much lower price than the FM350. I was surprised to find that it was not a direct replacement for the FM350 and its installation was entirely different from the FM350. It also seemed to be the FM350's very tiny cousin.
It worked for 60 days and gave up the ghost. Based on my previous problems reaching GTO on the telephone 8 years ago, I was hoping things had changed. I called the toll free number on the opener and, as 8 years ago, was told to call a non-toll free number for tech support. Once again a call was made and a message left. The great recording that plays over and over again while I was on hold told me to "register your tech support problem on the internet." Ok, I will give it a try. I navigated to the warranty support page and noticed a trouble shooting check list. Great, maybe I can fix the thing. I pull down the menu of models and everything under the sun except for the FM200 is listed. Great. I finally find the page to "open a repair ticket" and do so. And, I wait and wait. Three days later I get a great message from somebody telling me to call them. Why didn't I think about that! What ever gave me the idea of going to the internet? Ok, call again and again and again. I finally get a person after a week of calling. The call goes like this: Welcome to GTO customer support my name is Mike. Hi Mike, please give me a supervisor. What is the problem Sir? Its a long story and I have had it with GTO. Please give me a supervisor. Ok, tell me what the problem is. I need a supervisor. Ok, you can talk to me about that. Are you a supervisor? No, click, dial tone.
I finally reach a supervisor. He agrees to give me a RMA. I ship it off at my expense and in a week receive a call from GTO. The call goes like this. Hello Sir. I am from GTO and have looked at your unit. The control arm is bent and you will have to replace the entire unit. I can offer you a refurbished unit for $289.00.Ok, that's great except that I paid $200.00 for a new one! AND this unit's control arm was bent (very small distortion of the arm at the very tip - hard to see) AFTER it quit working when UPS trying to force it open. Ok, well that is what the problem looks like here. What do you want to do? Did you test the electronics to determine whether they were bad? Oh no, I am not a technician. I just look at the openers when they come in. Great! Ok, test the thing and if the electronics are bad, I expect a new one. I will send it to a tech. Ok, call me when you determine what's wrong. I don't want to get a broken opener back in the mail. Ten days later, A new opener shows up without any explanation. Its installed and it works but who knows for how long and if I have to call GTO again!
8 MONTHS THAT'S THE ANSWER - I am writing a follow up to the above review which I wrote 8 months ago. It died after 8 months. Under no circumstances should you buy one of these cheap things from a cheap company with cheap customer service. Life is too short and money is too tight.

Does what it should for a remarkably low price. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because a couple of times the button has gotten stuck to the housing.

2 pack Linear 3089 Gate Opener or Garage Door Opener Remotes(See Tech. Details Below) Review

Our garage door opener was installed in 1979 and when we lost one of the remotes recently, we despaired of finding a replacement. However, a local store was able to tell us the name and number of a current model which could be used as a replacement, even though they did not carry them. Although we were somewhat doubtful, we ordered the 2 Linear 3089 Garage Door Opener Remotes and to our great delight, this model works perfectly. It was also easy to program. We are so thrilled we did not have to buy a whole new garage door opener system.

I am very MAD with this company! First, you can not contact them by phone only email. I emailed them my complaint that I did not have my remotes and then got an automatic message that someone would get back to me within 8hr. They never did. My electrician is here now to install the opener and they didnt even include the wires that are needed that should be in the box. I now have to run all over the place looking for the wires for it while my electrician is still on the clock. This should not happen to anyone- I am about ready to send this back, yet once again you can not contact them for return either, just email that they do not respond to. MAD!!!!!!!!! I do not think that they should get away with this and hope no one else has to deal with this kind of problem! Dont order this item!
Just to update since the last complaint---- I got the wires needed but not from the company, I finally found them an hour away for another $85. Now that everything is hooked up the keypad does not work. Imagine That! Now I will have to try to contact them on the email again that they do not respond to. SHADY!!!!

Mighty Mule FM502 Automatic Gate Opener for Heavy Duty Dual Swing Gates Review

Mighty Mule FM502 Automatic Gate Opener for Heavy Duty Dual Swing Gates
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As a technician that installed and has supported (repaired) a Mighty Mule 502 for over 2 years, I have experienced the following:
About 11 months after installation it stopped working. Tech support was excellent (approx. 24 hour email turnaround) in helping diagnose a problem with the main control board and gave us a return auth(RGA number). Upon installation of the new control board we noted one gate/motor didn't function. They asked us to return it, we did.
They refused, however, to warranty it. They stated we had 'fried' it somehow (either applying wrong voltage/current?). This gate is over 200 feet from any power source other then the 18v AC wires required to charge the 12v battery, how we could have damaged it is a mystery. Barring a lightning strike, the only way it could have been damaged was because of the faulty control panel.
Now it is about one year later and the other (slave) gate/motor isn't functioning. My interpretation of this is that either these motors only have a 2 year life expectancy, or the control board problems shortened the life of one motor while burning out the other. Either way, GTO/Mighty Mule will not cover it. At well over $300 per unit (not including labor) this effects the overall cost (true/operating cost) quite a bit.
I would check the reliability/warranty-support of other manufacturers before ever buying another Mighty Mule (GTO) product.
