(More customer reviews)When we bought our home, there were two Stanley garage door openers installed. The openers worked fine, but the two Stanley remote controls were insanely aggravating. They would only work some of the time, the plastic case eventually cracked and the large gray button would depress and stick, which kept the opener running, up and down. Finally, they both broke completely.
I went on-line to replace them and the company offered to upgrade the Stanley replacement to a Digi-Code 5012 Remote Control for the same price as two Stanley remotes. They even threw in free shipping. When they arrived, it was obvious that the Digi-Code 5012 was a huge improvement over the standard Stanley control. As the picture shows, it is encased in a tough black plastic case with a smaller gray plastic button. Some assembly was required, which couldn't have been simpler to complete. Now all I do is just touch the button and presto! up goes the door, first time, every time. I've had these controls for over two years and they are just as reliable and look just as sharp as the first day they arrived.
It's such a pleasure when a product truly exceeds your expectations. The Digi-Code Remote Control 5012 is that kind of product.
